Sligo is famous for its selection of links golf courses with three challenging courses to choose from - Rosses Point offering a championship course. Fishing is available on the river either at Ballysadare (Salmon and Sea Trout) or at the house (Perch & Bream).
There are some fantastic white sandy beaches within twenty minutes drive including Strandhill which offers some of the best surfing in Europe. There is also a seaweed bath house and Spa for those interested in unwinding.
